The center
⭐ The old town, the modern center below it, and the marina and beaches in front. Stay here to do everything on foot, eat in the lanes, and walk to the sea. It is the choice for a first visit.
The Golden Mile and Puerto Banús
West of the center: the big hotels of the Golden Mile, then Puerto Banús and the Nueva Andalucía district behind it, with its golf courses climbing the valley.
Stay here for the resort itself — the beach clubs, the port at night.
San Pedro Alcántara
Further west, a real town with its own center. San Pedro is quieter and more local, close to the Roman sites and the Guadalmina beaches.
The east
A long spread of residential developments out toward Cabopino and the Artola dunes. Good beaches and quiet, but realistically a place for people with a car.
