THE SEASONS RUN THE OTHER WAY

When to Come

A capital is quiet in August. A resort is at its fullest.

July and August

⚠️ High season. The beaches are full, the coast road is jammed, hotels are at their most expensive and the heat in the middle of the day is serious. It is also when the town is most alive at night.

June and September

⭐ The best balance: warm sea, long evenings, and a fraction of the August crowd. If you can choose, choose these.

Marbella's own festival, the Feria de San Bernabé, falls in June, around the feast of the town's patron saint.

October to May

Mild, often sunny, and much quieter. Some beach bars and clubs scale back out of season, but the town does not shut. ⭐ This is the time to walk up La Concha — the mountain is dangerous in summer heat.

Holy Week brings processions through the lanes of the old town.
